We have to form a border around the room of 24 * 14.
Also, since room is 24 feet wide in length, we can place 24 tiles on both the sides.
that makes it 48.
we are left with width which is 14 feet.
But out of that we have already placed tiles in 2 feet on both the side while filling up the place for length.
So what we are left with is = 14 + 14 - 2 - 2 = 24
and 24 + 48 = 72
ans: 72
